All About Aubree:

Q: Tell Us About Your Pets

A: Rosie is a rescue Shepard mix that a customer of ours brought into my life with a phone call about a stray dog. We both needed the same things from each other and ever since she has been my right-hand pup. Her favorite thing? Taking up the whole bed!

Dagonet is my Gypsy Cob who I have happily had for just over 10 years now! Together we have done parades, trick training, exhibitions, and even collected a few Champion awards along the way. His favorite treats are jellybeans (but just the red ones) as well as twizzlers.

Bagheera is my "house panther" of a black cat who I have had since he could fit in the palm of my hand. Going on 10 years old now, he is quite a lovely dude. Being raised around lots of animals - especially dogs - he has picked up some tricks such as wagging his tail and sitting for a treat.

Q: What's your favorite Animal Movie?

A: My favorite animal movie would have to be The Lion King. Can't get much better than animals and nature! Even named my dear late Collie, Nala.

Q: Why Healthy Pet?

A: I had been a customer ever  since elementary school, and even got one of my first dogs from Darren. Seven years ago I asked Darren if he was hiring and will never forget he said "I've been waiting for this come on in!" I'm very proud to work in a store where employees are encouraged to give the best information to customers without sticking to a corporate script like some big stores will. We can draw from personal experience in the animal field as well as in-depth nutritional knowledge to give customers the best advice possible.

Q: What's your favorite thing about working in a pet store?

A: How do I choose! Any time an animal big or small comes in it is always a joy. Personally, I love a good "ingredient hunt" when a customer brings in an allergy panel to match with a good food. Having a lot of animal experience outside of the storefront, being able to give some tips and tricks is always a pleasure.
